Mountain Bike Tour – Team Events 2020 Stuttgart

It’s July 2020, and although it’s still relatively early in the lockdown, the Stuttgart team was already a little bruised from the home office, which, among other Corona-related restrictions, deprived us of exercise in our daily lives. To counteract this and to see each other “offline” again among colleagues, we decided to go on a bike tour along the Danube.

For this, we met in Sigmaringen to get on the rented e-bikes for our tour and cycle along the chosen route. The weather was very kind to us, so that we were able to enjoy the sun as well as the sport.

The first part of the planned route led through all the villages of the Swabian Alb. The team rolled tirelessly over the many hills of the local landscapes, but soon was no longer able to resist the sight of the countless restaurants. One village further on, we stopped in one of the sunny taverns and treated ourselves to food and drink from the region, in order to then turn our attention to the rest of the route with renewed energy. As we soon approached the Danube, the breathtaking views made everyone’s tiredness and sense of time vanish. Feeling a few breaths later, we had arrived back at the starting point of our demanding but unforgettable journey through the mountains and forests of the Swabian Alb. The remaining strength of the colleagues was exactly enough to go to the nearest restaurant and finish the evening with delicious Greek cuisine.

Even if our muscles sooner or later could no longer remember this day, the numerous pictures taken let us look back forever on a successful day in nature.
